Technology is an ever-present reality and our dependence on it to make our lives easier and more efficient continues to grow. Providing access to computers and technology-related instruction in schools and in the community equips individuals with valuable life skills and can provide a path to a future career in the growing IT industry. Yet, providing computers and technology tools can be an expensive and difficult proposition. That’s where EducationWorks steps in.
We offer a number of programs that help:
- Empower students to become technology ambassadors in their classrooms, freeing teachers’ time to teach rather than troubleshoot technology.
- Provide access to computers to adults in economically disadvantaged communities so they can build their technology skills, uncover employment opportunities, and better manage their personal needs.
- Provide recent high school grads or transitioning adults the opportunity to gain hands-on experience that could lead to industry certification as well as entry-level jobs in the IT field.
Our programs provide much-needed support for communities and school districts coping with ever-tightening budgets. We’ve created a number of computer centers in public housing complexes and community centers for use by youth and adults alike. We also work in schools, both during and after school, to lend support to teachers and staff as well as increase students’ technology skills.
